Concert on the lawn

We got the chance to see Toby Keith's American Ride with Trace Adkins and James Otto concert at the Walnut Creek Amphitheater in Raleigh. This was my first concert on the lawn. I believe I have become too old to be sitting on the ground and then standing up to watch the rest of the concert (the standing was only because some inconsiderate, rude young people felt that they should stand in front of us for the rest of the concert) anyway, I digress, the music was great and the venue was nice and easy to walk around. I appreciated that the parking fee was included in the price of the ticket, no paying to park. Nice!

I was able to capture a few shots from our lawn "seats". I probably should have gotten up and gotten closer but there was a hill and I was afraid of falling down the hill and not to mention that I would have to climb back up the hill. So these photos are great considering the hill and such.

James Otto was playing when we got to our "seats" on the lawn.
He did a great job as opening act.

After many takes at figuring out the timer on the camera I got a photo of us, but by the look on the lady's face behind us, I must have annoyed her with all the previous attempts. But by the look on the man's face to the right, he doesn't look that thrilled to be on camera either.

Now we are talking...sing Trace, sing

Ladies Love Country Boys!

Then enters Toby...

Awesome performances.

Here's a better shot, the flash helped to smooth out my wrinkles and blemishes.
(Now if I can only figure what camera attachments to use that will take away 20 pounds.)
